Q: How do I register to participate in the Safer, Smarter Kids Teachers’ Institute?

You can submit an application here. Once you’ve submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email that your application has been received. Once your application is processed, you may be sent enrollment forms for completion.

Q: If selected as a participant, how soon should I expect to receive my enrollment forms?

You should expect to receive your enrollment forms within 72 hours of submission of your accepted application.

Q: I submitted an application, but received a response stating the Safer, Smarter Kids Teachers’ Institute I applied for is full.

The Lauren’s Kids foundation must ensure that there is the ability for every public school district to participate. If you receive information that the Safer, Smarter Kids Teachers’ Institute you requested is full, Lauren’s Kids will keep your information and keep you apprised of any cancellations and opportunities to participate in any future Teachers’ Institutes.

Q: What is paid for by the Lauren’s Kids foundation as a participant in a Safer, Smarter Kids Teachers’ Institute?

The Lauren’s Kids foundation will pay for all travel incurred in accordance with the State of Florida guidelines for travel reimbursement, and the cost of a substitute for your classroom while you attend the Teachers’ Institute.
